Our journey · 2015 – 2025
LIFE Malaysia began in 2015 with a few friends handing out food to people sleeping rough in Kuala Lumpur. Ten years on, we are a registered society running school programmes, flood and pandemic relief, youth sport and community projects across the Klang Valley. This is how we got here.
Then and now
Ten years separate these two photos. The idea behind them has not changed: show up for people who need it, and bring others along.

Chapter 1 · 2015 – 2016
It started with food. In mid-2015 a few friends packed meals and walked the streets of Kuala Lumpur after dark, handing them to people sleeping rough. They came back that November, and when floods hit Chennai in December they turned the same goodwill into a relief drive. By 2016 the group was taking Tamil school pupils on their first trip to the city and stepping in when families hit a crisis.

Chapter 2 · 2017 – 2018
In April 2017 the group registered with the Registrar of Societies as Persatuan Kebajikan Insan Penyayang Kuala Lumpur dan Selangor, keeping the name everyone already knew: LIFE Malaysia. The same year brought the idea that became our signature fundraiser, a charity futsal tournament, and with it a way to rally whole communities behind a school.

Five threads through ten years
The programmes changed with the times. These five commitments ran through all of them.
Street feeding, financial assistance, housing support, groceries and essential household aid.
Study tours, school supplies, Back2School, student sponsorship and futsal development.
The charity car wash and our charity futsal tournaments, with women’s futsal added in 2019.
Chennai and Kerala flood relief, COVID-19 food assistance and flood rescue in Taman Sri Muda.
Entrepreneurship training, tree planting and the Tree House Project.
Every chapter so far was written by people who simply showed up. Volunteer, sponsor a student or give to a cause, and help us write the next ten years.
