About LIFE Malaysia
LIFE Malaysia was started by a group of community-minded Malaysians who wanted to Love, Inspire, Foster and Empower fellow Malaysians. A decade on, that is still what we do.
Our story
In 2015 a few friends began handing out food and clothes to homeless people in Kuala Lumpur. They kept coming back. Soon they were in Tamil schools, flood-relief drives and hospital wards, wherever someone needed a hand.
In 2017 they formalised that work as Persatuan Kebajikan Insan Penyayang KL & Selangor (PERKIP), known as LIFE Malaysia. Today we focus on underprivileged children and youth, especially Malaysian Indian students from Tamil schools, while helping anyone in need regardless of race or religion.
We know these young people face poverty, limited access to quality education, few mentors and little social mobility. So our programmes look after the whole child: school results, emotional well-being, life skills and readiness for the future.
